Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the daily general accounting functions: revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, client invoicing and taxes.
  • Oversee the revenue function directly and advise on the accounting implications.
  • Ensure best-in-class team structure for Revenue to support current and future growth. Identify areas in Revenue Accounting with potential for increased efficiencies.
  • Partner with sales and sales operations to identify and incorporate solutions that benefit the customer, Sales and Accounting organizations.
  • Lead the billing operations and cash collection team responsible over order form processing, invoicing, and cash collections.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, Legal, and Finance.
  • Ensure data integrity over all order-to-cash systems.
  • Revise current operating procedures to reflect best-in-class practices.
  • Engage with external auditors .
  • Mentor and build a world-class revenue accounting operations team.
  • Participate in the annual budget process
  • Drive timely communication and effective resolution of issues
  • Maintain a positive and results-oriented work environment, and provide leadership, guidance and coaching for accounting personnel
  • Participate in cross-functional business process improvement teams, representing the accounting function, and implementing agreed upon change initiatives, as appropriate
  • Recommend and implement changes in accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency accuracy and relevance of financial data
  • Provide strategic leadership of short and long-term accounting goals

Education & Experience Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or related field required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
  • Minimum of 8 years of related accounting experience, including minimum 4 years with oversight and leadership responsibilities
  • Strong business acumen, with proven accounting management/controllership skills in terms of US GAAP and best practice financial controls and reporting
  • Proven experience managing an accounting department in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Proven ability to direct and maintain “world class” accounting process
