We are more than a transportation company. Forward is a single resource for your shipping needs.Position: Director, Global RFQ & SolutionsCore Responsibilities & Duties:

Ensure RFQ processes are implemented to support timely accurate RFQ submissions

Establish and assess RFQ KPIS for team

Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project goals and company objectives

Analyze market trends and develop strategies to secure the best value for materials and services

Identify, evaluate, and select, agents, vendors and suppliers that meet project requirements and company standards

Build and maintain strong relationships with air, ocean and trucking products, negotiating favorable terms and conditions

Review contract terms and conditions to mitigate risks and protect company interests, after send to legal for approval

Co-develop and implement sourcing strategies with the business, authoritatively advising and guiding the process to the best-fit approach, tactics, and tools (e.g., outcome-based specifications, RFP/RFI/RFQ builds and KPIs development

Oversee and lead the Global RFQ teams: NAM, LATAM, EMEA, MIA the creation and management of purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations

Identify and manage procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions and vendor performance issues

Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential procurement challenges

Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals

Collaborating with internal teams, such as sales, product, operations, and local pricing, to review RFQ proposals that meet customer requirements

Support and lead top Global or Regional Accounts RFQs involving major North American lanes

Supporting tender lead bid with pre-bid and post-bid analysis, and presenting recommendations to senior management Support tender lead with Quality Checks Work closely with Global and Key Account Managers / in coming up with plans for RFQ and performing pre- and post-opportunity assessments

Follow up of RFQ as needed and communicate the positive or negative feedback in respect of being able to source the competitive rate to support the closure of all business opportunities

Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

RFQ/Tender Management Leadership experience within International Logistics Industry with emphasis on team development, KPI execution, and process improvement

Excellent written & verbal communication skills Ability to create and present executive level internal and Customer focused presentations via PowerPoint

Ability to Manage aggressive project timelines and develop work load balancing as needed 5+ years of product management, business development or technology experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Experience owning/driving rate map strategy and definition

Advanced MS Excel skills and strong analytical skills

Effective time management with problem solving and decision-making skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects, objectives, and deadlines

Experience with business intelligence tools and platforms

Ability to initiate and develop relationships with internal/external customers and third-party service providers

Team-player capable of working in a team-orientated, collaborative, environment

Problem solver, thinker, and analyzer with the ability to understand and respond to rapidly changing customer needs

Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments

Experience BIDs/Tenders Global (General Cargo, DG, Temp Control, AOG)
