SummaryThe IT Director works hands-on to oversee all information technology (IT) operations at Company in support of the business needs of the organization.Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assists VP of IT in the management, coordination, and administration of all computer and information system-related services, projects, and programs at Company.

Provides day-to-day management of the IT department, to include oversight of the group’s support technicians, system administrators, developers, and cybersecurity team.

Assumes responsibility for all IT system implementations, operations, and monitoring.

Ensures that all systems are compliant with the current revision of NIST 800-171.

Works with cybersecurity team to maintain System Security Plan (SSP) and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM).

Provides support to cybersecurity and system administration teams for all third-party assessments, formal audits, and incident response activities.

Maintains Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and Incident Response Plans.

Supervises and assists in the administration of the following:

Physical and virtual servers.

Firewalls, switches, and wireless networking equipment.

Hosted VOIP and on-prem PBX systems.

Cloud Service Providers with an emphasis on Microsoft solutions.

Enterprise backup solutions.

Project manages key IT initiatives, including solution testing and rollouts.

Monitors IT Help Desk service levels and creates process improvement plans to address goals for responsiveness and accuracy.

Works with VP of IT to engage in strategic planning and goal setting for the department.

Assists in developing a cybersecurity strategy that minimizes security risks and vulnerabilities.

Assists in managing external IT vendors and evaluating and negotiating vendor agreements.

Makes recommendations to VP of IT regarding staff recruitment, promotions, assignments, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.

Assists VP of IT in projecting future needs, modernizing IT infrastructure, and improving IT service.

Develops and documents system standards for computer and network devices.

Oversees the deployment and upgrades of IT hardware and software.

Ensures the tracking of all IT assets, to include hardware, software, supplies, and licenses.

Assumes responsibility for employee morale and for addressing employee concerns and performance issues.

Oversees all IT-related employee training.

Ensures IT department carries out tasks, goals, and initiatives in a timely and professional manner and that work reflects a high level of customer service.

Evaluates/updates departmental policies and procedures on a periodic basis to ensure accuracy, currency, and effectiveness. Ensures that policies are kept in an organized repository with appropriate read/write permissions defined.

Interfaces with department leads in company to ensure IT services are meeting needs and expectations.

Assists in preparing financial budgets and presenting funding proposals, as needed.

Prepares reports on IT department goals, performance, trends, and forecasts.

Remains up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.

Researches and provides solutions to technical challenges.

Keeps VP of IT and SR VP of IT Systems updated on task progress and IT initiatives.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesLeads the team and IT projects in collaboration with the VP of IT.Job Requirements:Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s (four year) degree in Information Technology (IT), Information Systems (IS), Computer Science (CS), Business Management, or another related field.

Minimum ten (10) years of experience in system engineering with enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, network equipment, workstations, etc. in a domain environment.

Minimum five (5) years of experience managing IT support staff in an organization with 100+ employees.

Working knowledge of Federal Cybersecurity Regulations including DFARS, NIST 800-171, CMMC, and FedRAMP.

Demonstrable business management experience with a general understanding of finance, operations, marketing, and human resources.

Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructure across various departments and groups.

Salary Range: Starting at $150,000+ per year
