The Director of Human Resources serves as a generalist at the community and manages the administration of the human resource policies, procedures and programs that will create and provide a culture that emphasizes empowerment, goal attainment, and compliance to create a great place to work for team members. This position will have an HR Assistant reporting to them.

  • Enforce and manage aligned human resource policies and procedures while ensuring compliance and confidentiality with community information while adhering to all federal, state and local regulations.
  • Serve as the liaison to enforcement agencies including responding to and attending hearings as a representative of the community; prepare and collaborate with legal to respond to all community aligned claims. Manage, track, administer and support all community aligned protected leaves and workers compensation claims, in accordance with the federal guidelines.
  • Oversee and direct the full recruitment lifecycle and create a robust onboarding experience.
  • Consult and collaborate with community leadership regarding employee relations, training and development and performance management of team members.
  • Respond to team member compensation and benefit inquiries.
  • Develop annual departmental budget and operate department within set budgetary guidelines.
  • Participate actively in community or organization aligned taskforce or project work groups.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Obtain knowledge and demonstrate the principles of Living Lifespace , person directed care and successful aging philosophies and their inherent core values of commitment, respect, compassion, dedication, team work and quality.
  • Team member will support, actively participate and act in accordance with the principles of the Living Lifespace service culture and be familiar with and fluent in the language and service pillars of Living Lifespace.

And here's what you need to apply:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Eight to ten years human resources generalist experience
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Experience leading a team preferred.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of the federal, state and local laws, regulations, and guidelines for human resources.
  • Knowledgeable of administrative practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to
  • Equal Employment Opportunity, Department of Labor regulations, labor relations, employee relations, benefit administration, workers compensation and OSHA.
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures at all levels of the organization and in some cases with residents in collaboration with the executive director.
  • Must have the ability to act as liaison between team members and management and possess excellent employee relation skills and discernment.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
