Description: Job Title: Director, Program Management – F-35 Development Job Code: SAS20230902-96887 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Description: L3Harris is seeking a Director of Program Management to lead the F-35 Development product line encompassing all programs that develop new technologies and capabilities for the F-35. The product line director will lead a high performing team working to design, build, integrate, and field emerging technologies of critical importance to the F-35 Joint Program Office, the warfighter, and our allies. The candidate will have proven experience in program management to include successful demonstration of program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Essential Functions: Accountable for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the portfolio while ensuring compliance with customer requirements Drive execution to achieve program milestones while meeting key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, and operating income Grow the business by proactively identifying and capturing additional and/or follow-on work working closely with business development and our customers Effectively communicate within the team, upward with internal executive leadership, and externally with executive customers and end users to influence stakeholders for business success Plan and direct engagement activities in support of customer and industry related initiatives Work collaboratively across the corporation with functional leadership to ensure resources are available and empowered to meet program goals Thrive within a highly dynamic and changing environment while adapting and managing shifting customer priorities Understand and implement business area long-term strategy as it applies to the program Qualifications: BS/BA Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience Must have prior leadership experience Minimum of 10 years of program management experience including all phases of program execution (pursuit and offer leadership, contractual negotiations, start-up, execution, and close-out) Previous experience managing government/DoD contracts Demonstrated capability leading teams in successfully achieving defined Customer and Company program objectives within cost, schedule, and contractual constraints Experience managing projects with budgets of $50M+ and a total portfolio >$200M Experience leading geographically diverse program teams comprised of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) with membership from multiple Company and potentially partner organizations Demonstrated experience with implementation and execution using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and employment of applicable metrics Ability to Travel – up to 10% Preferred Additional Skills: Active DoD Secret/Special Access Program Clearance Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Ability to influence senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the function or organization Experience establishing the direction for new processes, systems, solutions, and products using significant conceptualization, reasoning, and interpretation Ability to extensively analyze implications of both near and long-term solutions Experience with executing throughout the full avionics lifecycle including requirements flowdown and allocation, design, development, test, and sell-off Experience in aerospace and defense industry verification and validation means, methods, and processes L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
