Job Overview

As a Freight Dispatcher at Rapid Logistics Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics services. This flexible position involves tracking loads, whether managed by third‑party carriers or our own company drivers, and assisting with load coverage and booking. Key Responsibilities

Load Tracking: Monitor and track the progress of loads managed by third‑party carriers and company drivers to ensure on-time deliveries.

Load Coverage: Assist in covering loads by coordinating with carriers and drivers to identify the best transportation solutions.

Load Booking: Support the booking process by collaborating with the brokerage team to match available loads with suitable carriers.

Communication: Maintain clear and proactive communication with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues in transit.

Documentation: Ensure all required documentation is accurate and up-to-date for each load, including tracking reports and delivery confirmations.

Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve logistical challenges or delays to minimize disruption to operations.

Collaboration: Work closely with the brokerage and dispatch teams to optimize load management and overall efficiency.

Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Knowledge of the trucking industry and logistics operations.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics is a plus.

Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is required.
