Drywall Installer and Finisher

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is currently hiring experienced Drywall Installers and Finishers for our commercial and multi-family residential projects. Providing our clients with quality craftsmanship has given us the reputation as one of South Florida's leading construction solutions team.Note - Pay Rate for this Job is $16/ Hour - $24/HourResponsibilities Include:Reading design plans in order to provide minimal wallboard to avoid unnecessary waste of materials

Measuring and marking cutting lines on framing, drywall, and trim using tape measure, straightedge, or square, and marking devices

Identifying the exact locations of windows, electrical outlets, and plumbing, and then cutting the drywall or ceiling tile to fit the precise size needed

Cutting drywall to the right size, using utility knives and power saws

Fastening drywall panels to interior wall studs, using nails or screws

Installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners Filling joints, holes, and cracks with compound

Using a trowel and broad knife Trimming and smoothing rough edges so boards join evenly without visual defect

Collaborate with general contractors and other construction professionals

Maintain safety practices at all times

Maintain a clean work environment

Other duties assigned

Competitive pay rate up to $24 an hour.

Sign on bonus upon completion of 160 hours.

Qualifications:Atleast one year of experience in residential or commercial construction.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, bend, and kneel.

Tools of trade and the ability to bring them onsite.
