Electrical Engineer (EE) in Palm Bay, FL. This is NOT a C2C opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity. SUMMARY The Electrical Engineer will work in a cooperative team environment with cross functional teams to architect, develop, and verify digital hardware, firmware, and software for Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) control systems. The Electrical Engineer will be required to analyze requirements, architect, and design digital hardware components for FPGA and software based AESA control solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze system functions and develop, architect, design and implement hardware solutions and processing architecture(s) based on digital technology.
  • Perform detailed analysis including requirements analysis, use case scenarios, algorithm development conceptual design, trade studies, test, operation, and maintenance of controllers and networks for AESA products.
  • Implementing complex control algorithms in programmable logic using FPGA devices.
  • Architecting and leading the design and development of components such as printed circuit boards (PCB), processors, memory modules, and network components.
  • Utilize signal processing algorithms in FPGAs and Software.
  • Work with cross functional teams as needed to define and refine design requirements.
  • Assist in development of high-level and detailed verification test plans consistent with system requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare design and implementation reviews.
  • Present technical briefings and status to internal and external customers.

REQUIREMENTS
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 12 or more years of related experience (or 10 years of experience with a Master’s Degree).
  • Expertise implementing signal processing algorithms in FPGAs.
  • Experience with adaptive signal processing algorithms and trades.
  • Expertise in communication system signal processing theory and waveform design.
  • Experience with MatLab, Simulink or similar DSP modelling tools.
  • Proficient in FPGA development using VHDL or Verilog.
  • Solid technical writing skills and ability to communicate technical concepts/solutions both inside and outside of the organization.
  • MUST have a current and active Secret Security Clearance.

PREFERRED (NICE TO HAVE) SKILLS
  • Working knowledge and experience in testing and debugging of MODEM RF Designs.
  • Experience with FPGA Vendor Specific FPGA Implementation tools (Vivado/Quartus).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and debug FPGA firmware and related hardware issues.
  • Expertise implementing signal processing algorithms in FPGAs.
  • Experience with adaptive signal processing algorithms and trades.
  • Expertise in communication system signal processing theory and waveform design.
  • Experience with MatLab, Simulink or similar DSP modelling tools.
  • Proficient in FPGA development using VHDL.
