Come soar with us!This position is for an Electrical and Electronics intern in the Avionics Test Engineering team in Melbourne Florida. The Avionics Test Engineering organization is a global engineering organization responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the manufacturing test solutions in support of the $5B Avionics strategic business unit as well as external customers including armed services and airlines both domestic and international. As an Electrical and Electronics intern, you will learn to troubleshoot technical and electrical device problems, operate engineering software and equipment, and confer with stakeholders regarding engineering projects.This position is based out of our Melbourne, FL site location; may be eligible for relocation.Primary Responsibilities:

Gain knowledge about designing electrical equipment, products, and systems.

Completes drawing designs as required, operates engineering software and equipment, and confers with stakeholders regarding engineering projects.

Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met.

Develop new test solutions to support the Collins Production environment, which tests new avionics products both functionally and environmentally.

Design, analyze, test, integrate, and document hardware of moderate complexity.

Work closely with other engineering disciplines (i.e., mechanical, software and systems engineering) to ensure the electrical design is appropriate for the project/product design approach.

Understands and utilizes the appropriate Collins aerospace processes and tools, resulting in increased product quality and improving customer satisfaction.

Be able to review, analyze, and make minor modifications to software modules and tools.

Basic Qualifications

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract
