Position Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Job Coaches / Employment Specialists to join our team as 1099 subcontractors. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about making a difference and can work independently to support clients with disabilities and other barriers, including those with felony records.
As a Job Coach, you will provide individualized support to help clients prepare for, obtain, and retain employment. You will also work closely with employers to ensure successful onboarding and job retention. ASL fluency is a plus, as we aim to serve clients with diverse communication needs.
Responsibilities:
Deliver one-on-one job coaching to clients, supporting them in developing job readiness skills such as resume writing, interviewing, and workplace etiquette
Facilitate smooth transitions into the workforce by providing on-site job support as needed
Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to support successful placements and retention
Conduct follow-ups with both clients and employers to monitor progress, address concerns, and celebrate successes
Collaborate with vocational rehabilitation counselors and other partners to ensure holistic client support
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client activities, goals, and outcomes
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Degree in a related field, OR
Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, OR
High school diploma with 4 years of experience in job coaching, employment services, or a related area
Experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or barriers such as felony records
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
Reliable transportation for travel within the assigned service area
Ability to pass a Level 2 background check
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
Experience with vocational rehabilitation programs or similar support services
Knowledge of local job markets and employer networks
ASL fluency or experience working with deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals is a plus
