Engineering Intern

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern to be based in Coral Gables, FL. The successful candidate will support the highway design teams in South Florida by working with different disciplines to complete a variety of projects. Additionally, AECOM’s dedication to innovation and sustainability enables interns to contribute to meaningful projects that help shape communities and the built environment.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of transportation projects for a variety of clients.Assist with discrete work tasks required in preparation of roadway design set of plans.Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.Carry out engineering analyses and prepare reports and technical specifications under the supervision of an experienced engineer.Work collaboratively within project teams to ensure project objectives are met within the defined scope, schedule, and budget.Collect and analyze data, perform field work, and undertake site inspections under the supervision of an experienced engineer.Attend site visits and meetings in clients’ offices.Maintain project records and files, contribute to the preparation of progress reports, and communicate project and task updates to team members and supervisors as needed.Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level member.
