Description: Job Title: Semiconductor Wafer Processing Technician Job Code: SAS20233101-96413 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Description: The L3Harris Microelectronics department is expanding our in-house semiconductor research and development efforts and capabilities. This role will allow you to take ownership of process execution, development, sustainment, improvement, and analysis for “unique utilization” of semiconductor processes and tools. The role will place you within a multidisciplinary team of Scientists, Engineers, Specialists, and Technicians focused on creating “one of a kind” novel devices and processes for our customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing semiconductor fabrication process steps under minimal supervision and with guidance from process leads. Attention to detail, strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills are required. Essential Functions: This position is a for an experienced Engineering Technician with 5+ years of experience in semiconductor thin film processing and clean room experience.
Candidate should have a strong background in photolithography, wet chemical etching, RIE plasma etching, DC and RF magnetron sputtering, and copper electroplating.
The technician should be able to work independently following process flow diagrams to fabricate thin film circuits and document and communicate results from fabrication runs.
The selected candidate must be able to interface with engineering team members in collaborative problem solving, team discussions and work well with preliminary engineering data.
Qualifications:
Ability to attain US government Security Clearance (SECRET/TS/SCI)
AA or AS Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in Semiconductor Fabrication Clean Room Experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Existing SECRET/TS/SCI Clearance
5+ years of Semiconductor Fabrication Clean Room Experience
Thin film deposition
Profilometer measurements, scanning electron microscope and other process metrology.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems used in the fabrication process.
Self-motivated with time management skills to complete a task without supervision.
Must be a team player able to work in a program environment.
Experience with wearing PPE
Experience with chemical handling
Microsoft Word & Excel skills for following engineering procedures and recording process data
Experience in lean manufacturing and leading process improvement initiatives. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle and manufacture microelectronics hardware underneath magnification
