Environmental Technician

Job Title: Environmental TechnicianJob DescriptionIn this role, you will perform tests and sampling of environmental materials including air, groundwater, building materials, and noise. You will also operate field monitoring equipment and assist with the operation and maintenance of remediation systems. Other tasks include assisting with asbestos surveys, abatement projects, and Phase I preliminary site assessments, as well as transporting material samples or documents to the lab for further testing and analysis. You will be responsible for tabulating and preparing data for written reports, cleaning and maintaining field monitoring equipment, and adhering to strict safety standards.Hard Skills

Performing building inspections for asbestos-containing materials in accordance with EPA, State, and Local requirements

Testing of surface coatings for lead paint (via paint chip) in commercial and industrial settings

Performing mold inspections and sampling for suspect microbial growth

Performing standardized and sometimes complex field tests as directed and/or special inspections as required

Performing air monitoring and visual inspections during asbestos abatement projects

Calibration of field monitoring equipment as required

Inspection and sampling within industrial setting

Performing indoor air quality assessments

Maintaining quality standards on all projects

Job TypeThis is a permanent position.Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Winter Park, Florida.Work EnvironmentThis position is based on-site and will typically follow a Sunday through Thursday, third-shift schedule, from 11pm - 7 am. There is the potential for overtime opportunities.
