Exploratory advising refers to a student's active process with an advisor to understand the breadth of academic pathways available to them. Exploratory Advisors provide personalized guidance, support, and resources to help students navigate their options and make informed decisions about their academic and career goals. Exploratory advisors will develop and implement programming to promote academic exploration and educational opportunities for all students.Expected Salary:The anticipated salary range is $60,000- $70,000 annually; commensurate with education and experience and the compensation includes a full benefits package. Minimum Requirements:Master's degree in education, counseling, or academic field related to the college with two years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in the same fields with three years of experience.Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree and five years of relevant experience.

Previous experience in academic advising.

Familiarity with UF Advising and Student Information Systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent computer skills with demonstrated knowledge with learning new programs and competence in project management skills. Should be proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Excellent interpersonal skills.
