The preferred candidate will be an F-22 Low Observable (LO) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Fighter Aircraft Structures, Composites, and Corrosion Prevention & Repair background. Candidate will serve as the technical interface to the on-site customer (Operations and Maintenance) in resolving Nose to Tail aircraft maintenance, modification, and Radar Cross Section reduction issues. Interested candidates are expected to commit to two years on-site.Primary Responsibilities: Accomplish troubleshooting/analysis of aircraft maintenance issues experienced in the field. Provide direct support for Eglin AFB and remote support for Tyndall AFB F-22 aircraft ground maintenance and operational requirements. Conduct Repair Verification Radar (RVR) imaging. Coordinate with customer to effectively schedule aircraft in for RVR as needed at Eglin AFB. Coordinate on-site engineering support as requested by customer, site manager or program management. Lead and track multiple engineering tasks, aircraft modifications or repairs while providing periodic status to Customer and Program Management. Attend debriefings and daily maintenance meetings to rapidly identify emerging issues requiring company intervention to avoid aircraft downtime. Initiate Action Requests and document all unusual operational/maintenance problems to ensure the company is apprised of and can quickly identify emerging failure trends. Identify unique operational problems requiring technical, procedural, or quality assurance actions to resolve. Support customer personnel initiating Deficiency Reports and -107 Requests. Provide training as required to Customer personnel. Must be able to work and interact with engineering professionals from other F-22 companies. Applicant must be able to work and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levels. Must be able to obtain F-22 Special Program Access. Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen. This position will require special access to restricted facilities. Some travel required; candidates must be willing and able to deploy with Customer personnel to the Continental United States (CONUS), Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) and hazardous duty locations. Long term deployments may be required. US Department of Defense (DoD) mandated vaccinations may be required.aeroafsBasic Qualifications:The following are skills a candidate must possess for consideration for this position: Minimum 8 years of Low Observable/Structures experience or a combination of Low Observable/Structures and Air Vehicle Systems/APG. Experience must be on F-22 or F-35 aircraft. Experience with reading and interpretation of engineering drawings/schematics. Strong technical report writing skills.Desired Skills:The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the others: Prior 5th Generation Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience. Fault Isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level. Experience with Engineering tools to include Indoor Signature Diagnostics, RVR, & NDE. Knowledge of CATIA & System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE).
