This position supports emergency activities relevant to work activities.Primary Liaison:Serves as the liaison between Leon County Government Facilities manager or Superintendent to coordinate regular maintenance of internal systems such as heating/cooling and plumbing. works with county staff to ensure projects remain in withinbudget and completed are on schedule.Ensures county staff inspect and perform maintenance on assigned equipment and facilities. Collaborate to schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.Maintains day-to day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders to county staff. Equipment / Inventory Management: Prepares facilities and equipment for regular business and special events. Ensures facilities are secured safely at the conclusion of special events. Maintains files of warranties, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment.Maintains the inventory, storage, and distribution of equipment.Provides recommendations for purchases of new equipment.Inspect rooms and furniture to identify needs for repairs or renovations. Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces. Vehicle Fleet Management: Manage regular maintenance of fleet vehicles to ensure readiness for use by department staff. Safety: Serves as the Safety Officer, responsible for the documentation of incidents, incident reviews and recommendations of changes to prevent re-occurrences of incidents. Responsible for the documentation and resolution of safety issues as well as coordination of all Fire and Safety type drills and the documentation and follow up. Serves the Chair of the Safety Committee. Trains the safety committee in duties required of a safety liaison for each program. Inspects and maintains safety equipment throughout the department. Preparedness Support: Assist with the activation of the Special Needs Shelter (SpNS) acting as ESF-8 Desk in the EOC or the Shelter Director or other position as necessary. Assist in coordination of PHP related training for Leon CHD staff. Assist in planning and conducting drills and full-scale exercises for Leon CHD Staff. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn the equipment and facilities to be maintained. Ability to maintain basic recordsand warranties. Ability to understand written directions in manuals and on manufacturer websites. Proficient with Microsoft OfficeSuite or related software as required to complete and maintain records.
