RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Firmware Engineer in Longwood, FL.

Duties Include: Firmware Engineer will participate on development teams to create new solutions for various international markets Participate in the system test function for the unique requirements of international markets

Design, develop and test: C and C software, application programming on 8-bit microcontrollers (Microchip, Atmel AVR/ATMEGA) Application and drivers on 32-bit ARM processors Using JTAG emulators, cross development in Windows and Linux environments, GCC Applications using embedded RTOS's (eCos, embedded Linux) Serial and Ethernet protocol drivers (Modbus, etc.) Analog process control algorithms (PID loops, fuzzy logic, etc.) Applications using basic relational embedded databases Drivers for assorted hardware interfaces (TFT displays, UARTs, I2C, SSP, Flash) Assign or prepare drawings, establish product standards, direct model development, monitor testing and plan operations, analyze and report on results, costs, and develop and contribute new product ideas; Required to use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments

Performs or oversees testing programs to ensure products meet design goals Reviews data collected from manufacturing and applications sources and develops product modifications and improvements to suit requirements Ensures that all product designs and documentation comply with the company quality system Participate in Agile ceremonies and work with other engineers to plan product roadmaps and release schedules using C or C programming languages

REQUIREMENTS: Computer Science/Engineering/Electronics BS degree with 3 to 5 years of experience Knowledge of Real-Time operating system design Knowledge of embedded system design principals Knowledge and experience with application development Understanding of basic electronics, ability to read and understand electrical schematics Ability to read and understand plant wiring diagrams, ability to use electronic test equipment (multi-meters, digital oscilloscopes, logic probes)
