Our mission-driven approach and unwavering dedication to excellence ensure that we continue to deliver superior products and solutions to our customers around the world.THE WORKPosition Assignment: Flight Simulator Systems Admin for the F-35 supporting Japanese Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) in Misawa, Japan.The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team and Japanese Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) to fulfill F-35 training objectives in Misawa, Japan.This position will support the sustainment, maintenance, and operation of F-35 training devices. Provide technical and operational services to support electronic and mechanical devices used for training personnel under simulated flying conditions. Troubleshoots complex technical IT problems and issues, determines technical solution. Maintain simulator documentation to include drawings, instructions, parts and software listings, by keeping them current, edited, and revised for future releases. Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, sets up administrator and user accounts, maintains current system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system wide software, and allocates mass storage space. Performs workstation Network Administration on all networks and ensures compliance to include upgrading, patching, and conducting weekly AV installs. Monitors policies and standards for all locations related to the use of computing resources and coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.Additional responsibilities:Implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies as directed.Comply with site security and access control procedures in accordance with F-35 program and customer procedures.Sanitize all classified media (circuit cards, disk storage devices, etc.) to the LRU in accordance with established F-35 and customer procedures.Foreign Assignment: This position will offer a long term deployment to a foreign country supporting Japanese Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) in Misawa, Japan.Candidates be advised: this position operates in direct support of a deployable F-35 fighter squadron. Employee in this role may be required to deploy with the customer on peacetime and wartime military operations for defined and potentially undefined durations, and may be required to obtain and maintain customer required deployment readiness qualifications leading up to potential deployments.“This location will be difficult for families with individuals in school. Candidates Must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access. Experience in an environment which required interaction with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature. Knowledge and experience with simulation hardware and software. Ability to read and use technical schematics, drawings and manuals along with other technical materials to resolve complex problems. Candidate must be willing to support flexible work hours to align with customer operational schedule. Candidate must have a current Security+ certificate or able to acquire a Security + certification within 3 months of hire date.Desired Skills: Bachelor’s degree. Current or Previous F-35 Training Device Experience in the Full Mission Simulator (FMS) and/or Mission Rehearsal Trainer (MRT) or experience in a training/modeling and simulation environment. Network troubleshooting and maintenance experience. Experience working in classified/access controlled facilities. Currently possess a current Security + certificate. System Administration of Windows and/or Linux server environments. Experience with Disaster Recovery methods / cloning / backup solutions. Experience with Hyper-V / Deploying VHDs / Virtual Computing. Experience with Active Directory / DHCP / DNS / File Shares. Knowledge of military publications and an understanding of fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft training operations.
