We are currently hiring for a night shift Forklift Operator at our Tampa, FL manufacturing facility located at 6706 N 53rd Street, Tampa, FL 33610. This container plant manufactures corrugated packaging products. We are looking for motivated individuals who are capable of performing in a fast-paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on cleanliness and safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity.

Work schedule:This position will be on night shift. Theplant operates 24/7 with 12 hour shifts (7am-7pm,7pm-7am)on a 2-2-3 shift schedule. (The team will work 2 consecutive shifts, followed by 2 days off, 3 shifts, then 2 days off, 2 shifts, and 3 days off.)This shift schedule offers a 3-day weekend every other week.

Applicants must have minimum of 2 years forklift experience, previous forklift operating experience in an industrial manufacturing or other labor intensive work experience (corrugated industry is a plus), stable history, excellent attendance, positive attitude and a desire to produce quality work in a team environment.

Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

-Safely operating a sit down forklift

-Receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material

-Computer skills

-Ability to effectively use scanning equipment and arranging for the transportation of products

-Ability to practice housekeeping.

Candidates must be available to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed. Starting wage is $23.19 an hour plus $.50/hour shift differential if applicable. The hiring process for a successful candidate will include a pre-employment test (online at home or on-site), interview, background check and a health/drug screen.

Shift start: 7:00PM Shift length: 12 hours 2-2-3 schedule with a 3-day weekend every other weekend and days off during the week. For example: work mon, work tues, off wed, off thurs, work fri-sun, then next week is the opposite.

A one-time bonus of $1,000 will be offered to new hires paid over a 6-month period; $500 after 30 days of employment and $500 after 6 months of continuous employment. Also, $500 paid upon completion of 1 year continuous employment.
