Maxar Technologies is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to work in an agile and fast paced development environment supporting analysts whose mission is to solve unique and challenging intelligence problems for special operations. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and have the unique opportunity to interact directly with analysts and other technologists to ensure applications and tools meet the needs of the customer. The ideal candidate is creative and driven, passionate about technology, and able to learn quickly.

You will work with a team of forward-thinking software engineers to build novel solutions for challenging problems for both US Government and industry customers centered on the development of applications and systems focused on space object, missile tracking and developing interfaces and data translations between disparate systems . The focus of this position will be to contribute to the development of all aspects of the architecture, system and full- lifecycle software development conducted in an agile environment.

What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):

  • Integrate and Develop applications for space object detection. Identification, tracking and characterization
  • Develop and implement analytical models
  • Maintain and enhance existing custom applications
  • Support migration activities into cloud environments
  • Modernize workflows and interfaces, customizing to include new mission areas and topics
  • Provide exceptional customer support for our clients

Minimum requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain & maintain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Experience developing software using a variety of languages
  • Experience with software engineering tools (i.e., Git/Subversion, IDE)
  • Familiarity with the Agile development process and tools
  • Familiarity with Test Driven Design (TDD)
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Development pipelines (CI-CD Pipelines)
  • Ability to work in a geographically dispersed, collaborative team environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current/active TS/SCI is desired
