RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a GIS/CAD Technician in Davie, FL.
Responsibilities: Responsible for performing skilled digital mapping involving preparation and maintenance of digital maps and providing Geographic Information System (GIS) support As a GIS/CAD Technician, you will be responsible for systems analysis (field location) of utility projects as assigned by the supervisor Serve as a technician on projects involving data collection and creation, editing and manipulation, and provide supportive mapping dataREQUIREMENTS: Associates degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or related field with Geographic Information System (GIS) coursework is required Minimum 3 years of experience with computer-assisted mapping or computer-assisted design software Minimum 2 years of experience working with ArcGIS and knowledge and understanding of GPS hardware and software packages Minimum of at least 2 years of experience of utility mapping Knowledge and understanding of integrated GIS/GPS principles systems, and technologies is required Completion of computer-assisted mapping or computer-assisted design coursework (i.e., ESRI educational coursework) is highly desirableThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
