We are seeking experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) engineers to support a fast-paced concurrent development and production program within the Sensors and Global Sustainment line of business. The successful candidate will apply his/her understanding of GNC algorithms to issues confronting the production floor operations (e.g., system characterization, sensor boresight calibration, acceptance testing). He or she will have demonstrated a strong track record of successfully troubleshooting complex and time-sensitive engineering problems on production hardware that require cross-functional solutions. (PhD + 0 years of experience, or MS + 3 years of experience, or BS + 5 years of experience)• Coursework in linear algebra, probability and statistics, and multivariate calculus.• Proficiency in MATLAB• Familiarity with production floor operations, integration and test engineering processes• Familiarity with GNC concepts as they apply to gimbaled IR sensors, such as inertial navigation, line of sight reconstruction, servo control, and multi-target tracking.• All candidates must at least be eligible for a SECRET level security clearance or have an active clearance of SECRET or higher.Desired Skills:• Coursework or professional experience in Kalman filtering or optimal state estimation• Strong understanding of the physics of motion and rotation sensing devices• Strong programming skills that can translate to C development in a Linux environment• Proficiency in deploying algorithms that satisfy real-time performance requirements• Proficiency in the processing and analysis of big data• Demonstrated ability to discuss technically complex engineering problems and solutions to internal and program leadership• Knowledge of infrared detection technology and imaging sensors.• The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable multi-tasking across a number of programmatic and technical responsibilities.
