SUMMARY The IT Delivery Manager is responsible for helping IT teams achieve delivery commitments and ensure the solutions meet business needs. This role will work closely with technical teams, program management, and business stakeholders to ensure IT is delivering value that aligns with business strategy. The IT Delivery Manager will also be responsible for release management, including scheduling, coordinating, and managing releases across the enterprise. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Coordinate with IT Teams and PMO to drive end-to-end execution and delivery of projects and strategic initiatives to deliver planned business value. Track progress, identify and resolve dependencies, mitigate risks, and communicate status to upper management and key stakeholders.
  • Apply relevant project standards to build project management frameworks for all assigned projects. Ensure that projects are organized and executed in a consistent manner.
  • Work with IT managers to ensure timely completion of tasks in line with project objectives.
  • Coordinate with PMO on project plans, estimates, release dates, and new initiatives.
  • Embrace a servant-leader role across Scrum teams and support them by proactively identifying and resolving impediments, internal to the team as well as external.
  • Assist IT leadership by conducting feedback loops to support strategic planning, and continuous improvements.
  • Support the vendor selection and management process and assist with the vendor administration.
  • Produce and distribute Release Management Reports for every release to define schedule, scope, and release dependencies.
  • Send out all necessary release communication and updates to key stakeholders, PMO, and IT.
  • Drive planning & delivery of high-quality enterprise IT software releases.
  • Manage and allocate test environments between development teams, branches, and project needs.
  • Maintain releases, reports, and dashboards across tools to radiate release and project information.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate risks, and remove obstacles to releases.
  • Monitor and manage release milestones and date dependencies.
  • Coordination production deployment activities to release the software successfully.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Experience in Guidewire Core Centers (PolicyCenter preferred)
  • Experience in transformations
  • Understanding of industry leading Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFE.
  • Prior working knowledge of JIRA or any related Scrum tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners, and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent planning, negotiating, and influencing skillset.
  • Proven ability to effectively interact with all levels of management across multiple organizational areas.
  • Excellent presentation skills. Should be able to cater to a wide variety of audience during ongoing meetings, status updates, stakeholder presentations etc.
  • Skilled at negotiating consensus among development teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage the expectation of business owners, subject matter experts and key stakeholders.
EXPERIENCE
  • College Degree and 3 - 5 years related experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing or supporting Agile teams.
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • CSM, PMP, or PMP-ACP certification preferred.
