Job Title: Hardware EngineerJob DescriptionDesign, develop, integrate, and test hardware and electronic components to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific, and other requirements. Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support hardware systems from the board level to the system level.Responsibilities

Lead and perform detailed design of test control apparatus and equipment.

Develop schematics and drawings to support fabrication with CAD tools (schematic capture, timing simulation, and place and route tools).

Lead research, design, development, and testing of electronic components, products, and systems.

Qualify and test developed hardware, test plans, procedures, and test systems.

Act as Project Engineer for assigned projects, including researching and organizing system specifications to ensure compliance with requirements, developing design review material, presenting at formal meetings, and managing all aspects of the design and development process.

Consult with software engineers for hardware and software integration.

Ensure all designs are completed on schedule, under budget, and sustain manufacturing reliability.

Perform digital circuit design utilizing programmable logic (FPGAs, etc.).

Must be at the assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of the time, less PTO, FML/STD/LTD.

Essential Skills

Experience in hardware design, electronics, analog and digital circuit design.

Proficiency in project engineering and electronics manufacturing.

Knowledge of analog & digital mixed signal design.

Experience with 10+ layer boards, FPGA, PCB, RF, Allegro, Autodesk, and schematic capture.

Ability to develop schematics and drawings using CAD tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong organizational and presentation skills.

Ability to manage all aspects of the design and development process.

Excellent communication skills for consulting with software engineers.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a manufacturing, R&D, and office environment in Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
