Interacts with physicians, nurses, and other allied health individuals in a manner which is helpful in understanding test availability for the department. Performs immunohistochemical, immunofluorescence, special stain, electron microscopy and frozen section studies. Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization (FISH) and Digital Imaging experience as the position requires. One year of experience preferred. Must have completed an accredited Histology training program.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension programAdditional Skills and Qualifications:Working knowledge of the methods, instrumentation, and principles of all routine immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, special stain, electron microscopy and frozen section procedures is required. Must be able to work irregular hours (rotating shifts) and evenings upon occasion.License or Certifications:Clinical Laboratory Technologist (specialty Histology) Florida licensure. HT (ASCP) and/or HTL (ASCP) national certification.
