Description: Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that build circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electro- assemblies. The facility currently has over 1200 employees and provides products to six Missiles and Fire Control sites. Ocala specializes in both low volume high mix and high volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing.Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.Essential Functions of an Industrial Engineer Includes:Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.Basic Qualifications: Completed Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering Understanding of Industrial Engineering Concepts: Work Measurement, Process Optimization, and Facility Layout. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Simulation Software Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles and application to eliminate waste. This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.Desired Skills: Proficiency in engineering software tools commonly used such as AutoCAD or Solid Works and Simulation Software (such as Flex Sim, SIMIO, Process Sim or others).
