Position Overview:This permanent position plays a central role in the overall control of inventory at Flavor Manufacturing and the Apopka Logistics Center.  The inventory control team member studies the internal processes and operations to identify inadequacies and recommends strategies and policies to resolve items and reduce risk.Job SummaryReporting to the Logistics Director, this role will work closely with and support the manufacturing, warehouse, quality, and finance teams to ensure company inventory controls around manufacturing, inventory management and financial reporting, are maintained to the highest standards. This role requires excellent communication and influencing skills as we continually strive to enhance inventory control & management processes through focusing on right first time.Key duties / Responsibilities

Daily review of Inventory dashboards and control measures, working with teams to ensure trends, errors and differences are investigated and resolved effectively.

Daily SAP monitoring: reviewing associated trends and reduce/eliminate reoccurrence.

Complete monthly reconciliation between SAP & our internal warehouse management systems to assess data accuracy and work with areas to ensure discrepancies are properly investigated and resolved timely.

Inventory counting - coordinates and executes the cyclical counting and preventive activities according to the policy. It ensures the daily counts and directs the investigations and recounts. Ensure results of the count are compared to the perpetual inventory record, and any material differences are recounted, investigated, and reconciled.

Informs, documents and maintains records in system and files. Calculates, monitors, controls, and reviews inventory execution and accuracy on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify the root causes of problems and eradicate them. Supports the Manager in corrective action plans to eliminate non-compliances through process analysis.

Prepare reports and share the cycle counting results and findings with Area Managers.

Documents and investigates any errors detected in cycle counting activities and obtains approvals before updating files on the system. Assists internal and external auditors in financial and/or corporate audits.

Maintain / Key Inventory Movement Adjustment (IMA) requests are maintained in a timely manner to ensure recording and processing of inventory adjustments.

Review and understand inventory control requirements and work to ensure internal controls and measures are in place to ensure compliance during the annual Corporate and Finance Audit process.

Develop and enhance inventory control measures and KPI's, review processes and routines to continuously improve and eliminate waste.

Support and provide guidance for Inventory investigations.

Coordinates daily that all transactions that affect inventories are documented, prepared, approved correctly and recorded in real time. Use the system to verify that inventory records are kept accurate and reliable.

Identifies and maintains control in the handling of non-conforming materials supporting Quality. Safeguards non-conforming material areas and coordinates counts in accordance with policy to ensure controls are maintained in compliance with company guidelines and procedures. Share findings and document the internal variance sheet to create the quality notification. Assists in investigations and troubleshooting.

Coordinates inventory management and control aimed at maintaining freshness, avoiding obsolescence, and eliminating the risk of loss. He directs life extension re-labeling and mat-to-mat. Any deviations are shared with the Manager, formally approved and documented in writing/system prior to execution.

Participate in the Material Review Board meetings with Finance and Technical departments.

Educational/Professional Experience & Skill requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Accounting or related field required.

Relevant experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment in one of the following areas: Inventory control, Production or Logistics operations is required.

Working knowledge of SAP and Extended Warehouse Management Systems desirable

Good working knowledge MS Office, particularly Excel.

Experience in working with large data sets to problem solve and provide insights into trends.

Knowledge of Power BI to provide visual insights into data an advantage.

FLT, MEWP (e.g. scissor lift) experience desirable.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Trouble shooting, problem solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Ability to work independently and proactively.

Well-structured methodical approach to work, able to multi-task & prioritize.
