Publixs Information Services (I/S) department is located in Lakeland, Florida and Alpharetta, Georgia and employs over 1000 associates. I/S provides the information technology required for all Publix business units including retail stores and all office and warehouse environments. The Publix I/S mission is to maximize the value of information technology to Publix associates and customers. The job responsibilities for this position are:
- provide project management for security projects and new security tools to include requirements development, evaluation, vendor selection, installation, configuration, tuning, and creation of program and process documentation,
- provide technical support/system administration for enterprise endpoint security tools such as file integrity monitoring software, file encryption, data loss prevention, email security, anti-malware, intrusion detection, endpoint detection and response software, forensics or sandboxing software, elevated privilege management software, enterprise endpoint management software,
- serve as a hands-on technical expert working directly with business areas and teams to provide guidance and ensure the solutions delivered adhere to security best practices and standards,
- perform periodic or on-demand internal and third-party reviews to ensure that applications, networks, and infrastructure components adhere to security standards and policies
- must have a bachelors degree in in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Assurance (or other analytical disciplines) or equivalent experience
- must have at least 3 years of experience in an IT security focused role providing technical support/system administration for large corporate enterprise security tools such as file integrity monitoring software, file encryption, data loss prevention, anti-malware, intrusion detection, endpoint detection and response software, sandboxing software, elevated privilege management software, enterprise endpoint management software
- must have previous experience with technical documentation writing
- must have basic knowledge of at least one of the following: PCI-DSS, SOX, HIPAA
- must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels of associates including c-suites
- must have the ability to resolve complex business and technical issues by making decisions using sound business judgment
- must have excellent customer service skills and commitment to teamwork
- must be flexible and able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner
- must demonstrate ability to work under minimal supervision
- must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
- must have a high degree of confidentiality, integrity, and maturity
- must have a high level of attention to detail, self-motivation, initiative, and punctuality
- must show enthusiasm, pride in work completed, and a commitment to Publix and our mission
- continued education including additional or advanced degrees in analytical, technical, or business discipline related to IT or Cybersecurity concepts
- 4 years of experience in an IT security focused role providing technical support/system administration for large corporate enterprise security tools such as file integrity monitoring software, file encryption, data loss prevention, anti-malware, intrusion detection, endpoint detection and response software, sandboxing software, elevated privilege management software, enterprise endpoint management software
- strong interpersonal and leadership skills including experience in organizing, planning, and executing large scale, cross functional efforts
- experience in project management and leading projects to completion
- strong understanding of systems administration on Windows, Linux/Unix, macOS operating systems including secure configuration of these operating systems
- strong understanding of common communication and security protocols
- experience using analysis tools such as Wireshark and Fiddler
- automation and scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, bash or other
- one or more of the following certifications: CompTIA (Security +, CySA+), ISC2 (SSCP, CISSP-ISSAP/ISSEP/ISSMP concentrations preferred), EC-Council CEH, GIAC/SANS certifications (GSEC, GCIA, GSIF, GFACT, GCWN, GCED, GCCC, GDAT, GDSA, GCIH, GPEN, GISP)
