job summary:
Job OverviewIn support of end user computing windows 11 initiative - Responsible for bridging the gap between IT support teams, automation engineers, and end users. As business administration and information technology expert, develop parameters for successful automation, oversee operations, and provide consultations on what kind of features or modifications would best serve support teams and end users. Analyze the data and predict necessary changes to improve automation and services as the environment evolvesPrimary Responsibility and Activities:- Liaise between the engineering team and the support teams, acting as an information source and communicator between them.
- In charge of assessing on demand automation and making suggestions for how they can better meet business needs.
- Understand automation options, limitations, and future possibilities. Communicate current capabilities to support teams and work with them to shape requirements accordingly.
- Understand strategic business needs and plans for growth.
- Utilize data and draft reports to develop business insight to assist decision-making.
- Keep up to date on the latest applications of information technology.
- Analyze complex business problems and determine an automated solution
- Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Create implementation requirements and develop automation plans with stakeholders based on organization's technological needs and requirements.
- Enhance the quality of IT products and services.
- Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
- Document current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent years of experience).
- Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP) is preferred.
- Relevant fields of study include business, business analytics, computer systems or information technology.
- Experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations and policies of a new business area.
- Solid problem resolution, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage both support teams and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
- Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
- Experience creating documentation such as business cases or business requirements summaries.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.
- Technical support or technology background
- Experience designing automation and process workflows
- Ability to conceptualize end-to-end processes
- Experience designing automation workflows
- 2+ years of experience with Agile methodology utilizing Jira & Confluence
- Intermediate Excel experience creating pivot tables and analyzing data, power query experience preferred
- Intermediate PowerPoint experience
