TITLE: Jr. Network Engineer Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Compensation Range: $40.00/hr-$45.00/hr

We are looking for a Junior Network Engineer who will help us maintain the team's highest level of service and scale our network ahead of our business' demands while pushing for more standardization. What You'll Do:

  • Perform similar duties as directed or instructed by the senior network engineer
  • Conduct studies pertaining to network configuration and monitor traffic patterns such as protocols and peak usage.
  • Consults with users and program management conducting assessments to determine user needs and define network solutions to meet user requirements.
  • Stays current with technological changes.
  • Monitor hardware to ensure it is maintained to standards
  • Opens problem reporting tickets and properly uses tracking software
  • Troubleshoot network architecture
  • Provide network support
  • Conducts systems audits
Skills / Experience You Will Need:
  • Three (3) years of progressive experience in planning, designing, implementation, and analyzing data or telecommunications networks.
  • Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations with a strong emphasis on Cisco, Client, Aruba, ExtremeNetworks. Knowledge of layer 2/3 network protocols. Strong knowledge of firewalls and other network security devices (VPN, IPS, Vulnerability Scanners, etc.).
