Position Summary: Performs blood specimen collection, specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens; may perform CLIA waived laboratory tests. May process anatomic pathology and cytology specimens; assists pathologists and histotechs, as needed. May supervise or lead, lab assistant I and II positions. Completes prioritization, receipt, registration and distribution of specimens. May have responsibility for sendout/reference lab shipping, tracking and billing. May perform and result waived testing. May assist with processing of anatomic pathology specimens including preparation of microscopic tissue slides, staining and specimen management.
