Summary
Prepare and analyze samples with accuracy and precision in accordance to SGS' analytical SOPs. Work independently and as part of a team to meet daily production targets and ensure hold times and turnaround times are met. Understand and apply basic analytical chemistry principles. Always follow safe laboratory practices and maintain a safe working environment.
Job FunctionsPerforms analyses on routine and moderately complex samples according to SGS’ analytical SOPs using instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologiesPerforms routine operation, maintenance, calibration, and trouble-shoots laboratory instruments / equipment.May assist with the development and validation of analytical methods, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other operating, safety and quality documents for method development, transfer, and validation studies.Provides technical training, advice and support to Analysts in data analysis.May be involved in investigation, and preparation of responses to client inquiries and CARs.May provide technical support to Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and clients regarding testing, reporting or technical inquiries.Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory functions/operations.Manages multiple projects as assigned.Maintains Laboratory Notebook where applicable.Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.
