Lead, Integration/Test Engineering

Description: Job Title: Lead, Integration/Test Engineering Job Code: SAS20210311-72073 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Description: Candidate will fill the role of LabVIEW and/or TestStand Software Engineer within our Test Development organization. The candidate will be responsible for developing test software hosted on in-house designed test stations. Candidate will write drivers for test equipment and code tests used to validate hardware from circuit cards, to sub-system components and up to space vehicles. Candidate will generate required documentation including analysis and design trade studies, as well as participate in major design gate reviews including PDR and CDR. Candidate will peer review designs and mentor junior engineers. This role will require the creation of creative solutions and will require the interaction between multiple functional disciplines, including quality, product design and systems engineering, in order to meet program milestones and financial objectives. We value engineers who prioritize standardization and reuse and can balance those values with program schedule demands. The candidate will also participate in software validation and selloff. The candidate may support the resolution of anomalies related to the software design. In addition to the technical role, the candidate may serve as a task leader for related efforts and be responsible for the development and implementation of operational strategies to meet cost, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, EHS, and continuous improvement objectives for the assigned programs in the factory. The candidate may coordinate a team of junior engineers. Essential Functions: Develop automated test software utilizing LabVIEW and/or TestStand.

Generate all associated documentation and analysis.

Support major program design reviews.

Support software build, integration, validation, sell-off and post sell-off anomaly investigations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Extensive experience with LabVIEW and/or TestStand.

Extensive experience developing software artifacts and presenting at major design gate reviews.

Current or past National Instruments certifications.

Experience using source control tools.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience as a technical leader and mentor.

Extensive experience with avionics or space hardware test.

Extensive experience in RF test and measurement.

Experience with National Instruments Test Equipment.

Experience with Jira/Bit Bucket/Confluence.

Extensive experience with LabVIEW and/or TestStand.

Extensive experience developing software artifacts and presenting at major design gate reviews.

Current or past National Instruments certifications.

Experience using source control tools.
