Learn more at www.ukg.com/careers #WeAreUKGDescription & QualificationsDescriptionAs a Lead Revenue Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition processes specifically tailored to the nuances of our SaaS and professional services engagements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze contracts, assess revenue implications, and provide financial insights. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606), exceptional accounting skills, and the ability to learn and thrive in a dynamic fast paced environment. Position reports to the Senior Revenue Manager.Responsibilities: Apply knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) to analyze complex SaaS contracts and transactions. Collaborate across functional teams, to understand project deliverables, milestones, and revenue recognition criteria to ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue. Assess the impact of contract modifications on revenue recognition. Execute weekly and monthly revenue accounting imports, from revenue subledger to general ledger. Troubleshoot processing errors. Review month end account reconciliations, for deferred revenue, contract asset and sales return reserves Perform detailed financial analysis related to revenue reserves. Assess and prepare reserve judgements based on customer activity. Collaborate with to address discrepancies and provide guidance on revenue-related matters. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of UKG revenue close Support external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements related to revenue recognition.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred, but not required. 5+ years of corporate experience in revenue accounting or 3+ years of public accounting experience. Experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606/IFRS 15 is highly desirable. Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to interpret and apply accounting standards and financial reporting requirements. Experience in preparation or review of account reconciliations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proven interest/ability in learning new systems/data tools. Excellent Excel skill level (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, if statements) and experience/ability in manipulating large data sets. Ability to multi-task and to proactively resolve problems in a fast-paced and changing environment. Excellent attention to detail and proven organizational skills. Highly motivated, reliable, and able to work independently. Excellent verbal and written skills are required.Other Preferred Skills: Experience working with different data sources/systems including, but not limited to Microsoft Dynamics365, Oracle, RevPro (Zuora) and Salesforce.
