Never before have the opportunities for a technical career been so limitless.We are seeking a Systems Design & Requirements Lead to join a program organization leadership team reporting to the Program Area’s Design and Requirements IPT Lead.You must have an active Secret clearance investigated within the last 5 years to be considered for this role.Key responsibilities for this role include the following: Serve as the technical conscience of the system architecture design and requirements (development and flowdown) for missile Program of Record. The development program is executing an accelerated development schedule in order to rapidly deploy cutting edge technology to a critical international partner. Lead the systems engineering team through key program milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR, FCA) Represent the program org in weekly classified customer meetings Manage the program’s requirements baseline in DOORS Manage supplier specifications, qualification process, acceptance testing requirements, and performance verification Support cross-functional D&R efforts with Algorithms, M&S, SSE, and I&T teams Actively participate in the identification and resolution of risks and opportunities throughout product lifecycle Work within SEIT agile framework to plan and execute the contract’s scope of systems engineering work Champion DX initiatives (MBSE/Cameo adoption) where applicable on contract or IRADsRelocation assistance is available for this role.Click here to learn more about Lockheed Martin’s comprehensive benefits package.Basic Qualifications: Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or similar. (PhD + 4 years of experience, or MS + 7 years of experience, or BS + 9 years of experience) Familiarity with LM’s product development and design assurance processes Proficiency in DOORS Experience working within cross-functional Agile teams Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers Demonstrated ability to discuss technically complex engineering problems and solutions to internal and external customers Security clearance investigated within the last 5 yearsDesired Skills: Experience managing supplier requirements for cryocoolers, electronic cooling units (ECUs), telescopes, infrared detectors, or IMUs. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
