Description: Job Title: Lead, Systems Integration & Test Engineer - Space Vehicle (TS/SCI) Job ID: SAS20232707-104069 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Description: L3Harris Technologies has two current openings for Lead, Systems Integration & Test Engineers - Space Vehicle. In this role, each successful candidate will be responsible for providing End-to-End space vehicle payload Integration & Test Support for Space Antennas and electronic payloads to customer-funded programs and internal research efforts within our Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) business unit of L3Harris Corporation. Our intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions serve a broad array of government, civil and commercial customers by enhancing information superiority, contributing to our national security and providing actionable data for the protection of property and human life. We specialize in high-reliability airborne and space-based remote sensing payloads that offer active and motion imaging and data processing, exploitation and dissemination. We also provide solutions that map and monitor the earth for a variety of commercial and governmental users. Responsibilities:
Lead Integration & Test teams through all levels of space vehicle and/or payload system integration during all critical phases and reviews including pursuits, SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PSR, and during the verification activities (i.e. functional, environmental qualification, and production tests)
Provide System Integration and Test engineering expertise and technical leadership in a broad field of engineering, research, evaluation, and development for highly complex systems
Work with System Engineering during the concept of operation development and requirements analysis, decomposition, and generation at various levels (i.e. components, subsystem) of the system
Work with cross-discipline teams (mechanical, structural, thermal, power, optical, RF, electrical, etc.) in the development and execution of detailed test plans and procedures
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
Support customer proposals for complex architectures (Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Cost Volumes, and Technical Volumes)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
Active TS/SCI clearance required
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with all phases of the system Lifecycle (design, analysis, manufacturing, test, verification/validation, and delivery) for space systems.
Experience executing space vehicle hardware verification testing at acceptance, proto-flight and qualification levels for all relevant environments (vibration, thermal, vacuum, acoustics).
Experience with requirements derivation and tracking using DOORs (or equivalent) including requirements verification traceability matrix (RVTM)
Experience interfacing directly with customers (both prime contractors and end customers) on resolving in-depth technical issues during the development and sell-off of space hardware.
Experience executing government or commercial, firm-fixed price development programs for space.
Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action process and techniques.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment.
Team player able to work in a large program environment
