Position DescriptionIn this crucial role, you will drive excellence by owning data assets, conducting data discovery, ensuring data availability, and fostering a deep understanding of data sources. Your expertise will be pivotal in justifying data needs, comprehending data requests holistically, and delivering value-oriented artifacts, creating tremendous impact in both HRO and ADP equally.Your role will encompass a wide spectrum of responsibilities, from strategic data planning to implementation. Your primary focus will be on supporting the acceleration of the HRO data availability in OneData to drive immediate and long-term value. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the data enablement strategy for our value streams, ensuring the capability to drive multiple use cases concurrently.WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Contribute to the creation of the HRO data assets roadmap by collaborating with GPT, Data & Analytics leaders, Business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and enable data priorities.

Lead efforts to discover, document, and catalog data assets within the organization, along Data Governance, optimizing processes based on a deep understanding of data sources.

Conduct assessments to determine the availability and quality of data sources, working independently and with cross-functional teams to address challenges and seamlessly integrate product data into the data lifecycle.

Collaborate with Enterprise and Product teams to understand product data structure and semantics.

Be the liaison between product teams, subject matter experts and development teams.

Identify and prioritize critical data assets based on strategic importance, ensuring alignment with business value to maximize impact.

Analyze and articulate the business case for acquiring, enhancing, or maintaining specific datasets, ensuring effective allocation of resources.

Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and data providers, translating business needs into actionable data requirements.

Ensure that data requests are clearly defined, documented, and aligned with organizational goals.

Champion data-driven decision-making in product development by delivering high-value solutions aligned with business strategies.

Measure the impact of data initiatives and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Data Product Manager or similar role. Experience in managing data platforms and data lifecycle is crucial.

Proven track record of success in:

Launching and iterating on data products: This could be internal data tools, customer-facing data products, or data platforms themselves.

Aligning data initiatives with business goals and driving data product vision.

Collaborating cross-functionally with a variety of teams .

Supporting Data Governance and ensuring data quality, security, and adherence to regulations.

Building trust and relationships with various stakeholders across the organization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to interpret complex requirements and translate into actionable steps that ultimately unlock value.

Excellent communication and presentation skills: Conveying complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Project management expertise: Planning, executing, and tracking data projects effectively.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and technologies: SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Understanding of data architecture and infrastructure: Familiarity with data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines.

Ability to think strategically and translate business goals into concrete data-driven actions is essential.

Preferred qualifications:

Advanced degree in a relevant field: Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, etc.

Experience in a specific business domain (e.g., Finance, Sales, etc.)

Certification in Databricks, showcasing advanced proficiency and practical experience.

Mentoring and guiding other data professionals.

Agile expertise: Jira preferred.

Strong business acumen: Understanding the financial and strategic implications of data initiatives.
