Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Draft, file, and manage various business entity documents.
  • Prepare and submit filings required by regulatory authorities.
  • Respond to requests for information.
  • Assist with ethics and compliance programs.
  • Provide support related to litigation, mediation, arbitration, and responses to legal complaints.
  • Help with, obtain, and distribute notarizations, legalized documents, certified copies, corporate filings, and other corporate documents.
  • Coordinate formation or integration of new entities across the globe, whether via new formation or acquisition.
  • Coordinate internal director and officer signatures on various corporate filings and documents (e.g. registry updates, annual reports, etc.).
  • Renew and maintain company licensing with state and federal tax and regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinates the filing of corporate and other documents with governmental agencies.
  • Analyzing, revising, and negotiating various types of agreements with clients, vendors, and other parties.
  • Assisting with important internal projects relating to performing legal research and/or drafting documents and correspondence.
  • Performing other functions such as contract summarizing, proofreading, redlining, and organizing and maintaining reference materials and databases.
  • Work with other members of the Legal and Tax teams and other company functional departments on special projects.
  • Coordinate and maintain a current listing of customer sales tax exemption certificates.
  • Other corporate ad hoc research projects as needed (physical board of director meetings, etc.)

Experience and Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of paralegal or similar experience.
  • Proficiency using virtual data rooms to upload and organize documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superb attention to detail, as well as organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail; can keep track of multiple projects and work through abstract issues in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Ability to make sound judgment calls under time pressure.
  • Ability to anticipate work, multi-task, and prioritize assignments.
  • Solid people and interpersonal skills, and comfortable working cross functionally with other members of the organization.
  • Ability to develop professional-looking presentations with graphs and charts to illustrate the data and convey convincing recommendations.
  • An outstanding attitude and work ethic.
  • Operate with an elevated level of discretion, and ability to handle proprietary information.
