As the Maintenance Planner based at our manufacturing facility in Pensacola, FL, you will be joining a dedicated team who's responsible for manufacturing the highest quality and arguably the most beautiful commercial ceiling and wall systems on the planet.
Your role as Maintenance Planner is critical for ensuring that all maintenance work for the plant is effectively planned and scheduled to maintain assets at full 24/7 functionality. You will accomplish this by employing your advanced technical understanding of the manufacturing process to develop complex preventive maintenance and maintenance job plans.You will also be responsible for utilizing the full functionality of SAP PM and your understanding of maintenance management business processes to drive prevention and full functionality. The work you will accomplish as Maintenance Planner will be expected to align with our production organization's objectives for process capability, scrap, throughput, and costs.What you'll be doing:- Developing maintenance job plans in collaboration with engineering teams and other technical colleagues
- Ensuring that basic maintenance planning and scheduling
- Analyzing equipment history, special equipment requirements, and safety precautions to drive improvements to operating results at lower maintenance costs
- Identify special equipment requirements and safety precautions
- Coordinating weekly and down day plans and maintaining work order backlog
- Adhering to defined maintenance business processes and the SAP PM system structure
- Ensuring that records and SAP data are accurate and orderly for achieving easy access to high quality histories and for performing data analysis
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase maintenance effectiveness and efficiency
- Meeting commitments for operating results and budgets in the areas of maintenance costs, services outside firms, rental, and stores working capital
- Overseeing direct and period costs related to labor, materials, and energy driven by process reliability and capability
- Coordinating the activities of contractors and craftsman on down days and outages
- Serving as the backup to the Maintenance Supervisor when they are absent
- Moving notifications to fully planned workorders and documenting bill of materials
- Auditing maintenance jobs and ensuring they meet standards defined in the job plans
- Coordinating activities of outside contractors and managing contractors on scheduled shutdowns
- Detailed understanding of the manufacturing process
- Fundamental craft skills and knowledge of basic engineering fundamentals
- Track record of developing and influencing strategic relationship with key customers
- Ability to utilize business and financial metrics to drive improved performance
- Experience with creating reports and metrics to track results
- Capability to prepare and deliver executive presentations with attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and SAP PM
- Completion of Armstrong's Training and Development Program OR 3+ years of field sales experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- 3+ years of expertise in maintenance planning
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic understanding of predictive maintenance principles including vibrations analysis, acoustics, infrared, and motor circuit analysis
