The Medical Education Department of has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Temp Manager, Admissions to work in Miami, Fl. The Manager, Admissions manages day-to-day operations for admissions in multiple PhD and MS graduate programs and implements admissions policies, practices, and procedures in furtherance of institutional goals. Moreover, the incumbent develops admissions strategies and promotes the University’s programs to the target communities.
Responds to all student inquiries in a timely and friendly fashion.
Sets up and prepares annual application guidelines for assigned department(s).
Keeps statistics of applicants for review by the admissions committee.
Maintains applicant information and files during the application process.
Corresponds with applicants regarding status of application.
Establishes admissions operational and financial strategies.
Monitors trends, establishes critical measurements, and determines effectiveness of current strategies and systems.
Acts as liaison to other University departments to attract new students and promote University offerings.
Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with university policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on university policy and procedures.

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Understands enrollment management, admissions, and recruitment.
Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and changing environment to support the mission.
Flexible and able to manage multiple projects.
Knowledge of business and management principles.
Ability to collaborate, direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
Understands and supports all aspects of biomedical graduate recruitment and admissions.
Manages recruitment funnel from prospecting to conversion.
Knowledge of graduate admissions operations including daily workflow and compliance requirements for federal, local and University policies.
Maintains and oversees enrollment data, inquiries from applicants and students, application processing, records management, and communication.
Supports and interprets enrollment trends in graduate admissions and establishes short and long-term goals to enhance graduate recruitment and outreach.
Engages in and supports all levels of marketing strategies and initiatives, including websites and social media, to enhance admissions and graduate education visibility.
Oversees management of student data and outcomes, including headshots, progress in their programs, graduation and alumni tracking
Able to establish and manage beneficial partnerships with constituents across the university with offices such as Canes Central, the Graduate School, Registrar, Student Accounts, and Student Financial Assistance.
Able to support and liaison with the fulltime Sr. Program Coordinator for Admissions and student employees such as graduate assistants and office workers.
Prepare and maintain program reports, surveys, and analyses as needed.
Ability to support occasional university related conferences or recruitment events.
Supports the training of the Miller School of Medicine graduate programs staff internal and external to the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) to ensure alignment with policies and laws related to admissions and enrollment.
Able to do all other duties as assigned.
