Plan, manage, and coordinate day-to-day responsibilities of DLP Operations within the Insider Trust and Access Team - Cyber. Support the organization's data protection goals and regulatory requirements through optimizing DLP review and investigations, tuning and evaluating controls, building strong data protection partnerships and identifying opportunities to incorporate expanding sensitive data types into preventative controls. The manager will also serve as technical lead for DLP and aid in the strategic planning and resourcing of the DLP mission. The manager will also lead a team of analysts and be responsible for routine people leader goals. Responsibilities• Plan, manage, and coordinate day-to-day operations of the DLP Operations team to include triage, escalation and case management processes and procedures.• Lead strategic planning for DLP Operations (milestones, maturity goals, control coverage, orchestration)• Serve as the process owner for DLP Operations, and be accountable for their development, documentation, and testing, where appropriate. • Serve as the functional expert for DLP from the user's perspective. Help develop functional requirements, processes, and automation. • Lead efforts increase efficiency or DLP control (tuning, policy, training, and awareness content) • Manage relationships that contribute to expanding DLP coverage, identifying sensitive data types and communicating changes to end-users. • Serve as key representative to any DLP-relation project, Agile squads, or other initiatives • Serve as voting member of "DLP Steering Committee" • Respond to metrics (KPI, KRI, OKR) requirements from senior leadership • Lead the development and publishing of "Data Mishandling" reports for executive audiences • Serve as key representative of other data security efforts in the organization (ERM, EDG, SGR, etc.)• Perform supervisory/managerial responsibilities:• Ensure adequate/skilled staffing; select employees• Establish performance goals and priorities• Prepare, conduct and review performance appraisals• Develop, mentor and counsel staff• Ensure efficiency of operations• Leadership Level - Supervise daily activities Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience• At least three years' work experience within cybersecurity operations • At least three years' experience developing and responding to DLP alerts • At least two years' experience in a senior analyst role• Three plus years of experience leading and managing teams• Experience understanding Data Loss/Leakage protection architecture and engineering like Symantec DLP, Purview DLP and knowledge on integration with Web Proxy, email infrastructure and encryption technologies• Experience working with Information Security Governance policy developers• Experience working with DLP audit, controls assessment teams or related processes • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and employ high ethical standards• Advanced understanding of sensitive data types, their handling requirements and how to respond to their exposure • Experience developing, tracking, and presenting key performance and risk metrics • Experience using various DLP technical solutions and providing recommendation for feature use or policy rule improvements • Good understanding of various infrastructure and data security processes, procedures, approaches, tools, and design patterns.• Strong customer relations skill and ability to create partnerships with disparate parts of the business • Advanced critical thinking skill and demonstrated ability to present analytical thoughts and insights based on available facts and demonstrate out-of-the-box problem solving• Advanced skill interpreting security policies and translating customer requirements into operational action• Expert understanding and knowledge of the organization's enterprise information technology (IT) goals and objectives• Ability to delegate tasks and hold assignees accountable for their successful completion • Advanced verbal and written communication skills • Strong time management, scheduling and planning skillsDesired• Experience in Cybersecurity analysis, incident response, or a related field with increasing responsibility• Work experience applying the practice of detecting and preventing data breaches, exfiltration, or unwanted destruction of sensitive data.• Familiarity with data classification, encryption, and protection policies • Familiarity with SOAR technology and ability to formulate its use in DLP Ops• Previous experience leading cybersecurity teams • CISSP, GIAC, or other related Information Security certifications• Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal's data security and data governance objectivesHours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PMLocation: 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA 22180 | 5550 Heritage Oaks Dr. Pensacola, FL 32526 | 141 Security Dr. Winchester, VA 22602Navy Federal is now hybrid!
