JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing insights that support the development of short term and long-term Omni-channel marketing strategies within campaign, product and event strategies. Manage an analytics team that provides analyses on marketing campaign performance and recommendations on marketing optimization. The team also focuses on best analytic processes and practices to better align and optimize marketing and channels across the path to conversion. Analyses include findings on the performance of audience targeting and segmentation, messaging, offer, campaign, engagement, media performance, customer journeys, conversion, budgeting and testing. The manager will be a master collaborator and align strategy with stakeholders across the organization and will also focus on ensuring digital media campaigns are performing according to benchmarks and KPIs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Integrated Media Analytics team by generating actionable knowledge-driven insights and analyses with a focus on marketing optimization within paid, owned and earned media and key business areas for point of origin, campaigns, destinations, attractions and events.
  • Drive the reporting, analysis and optimization strategies for digital campaigns tied to creative messaging, placement, landing pages and retargeting tactics.
  • Leverage analytical techniques (descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics) to inform business decisions and drive significant business impact. Present findings and adapt complex ideas and recommendations to highlight a clear decision framework based on analysis and experience.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to drive necessary media & marketing insights and strategies in support of the business goals. Guide the long range, annual and seasonal marketing strategies through insights that support the Omni-channel guest experience of Universal Parks & Resort.
  • Provide insights and optimization best practices within the Analytics and Targeting Team and across the marketing organization
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration or related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred

EXPERIENCE:5+ years of digital, integrated marketing and analytic experience with an emphasis on web / ecommerce preferably in support of marketing and sales functions in the consumer entertainment, travel or amusement park industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated experience leading projects with significant and far-ranging impact on the performance of the business in both the short- and long-term as well as requiring significant financial and resource investments
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing marketing channels such as Web, CRM, Direct, Social Media, PR, Search, Paid Media and Ecommerce
  • Expertise in understanding marketing integration between Web, CRM, Direct, Social Media, PR, Search, Paid Media and Ecommerce
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and recommendations to leadership that highlights a clear decision framework based on analysis and experience
  • Passion for entertainment/travel industry and guest experience optimization
  • Strong project management competency managing cross-functional roles without direct supervision and selecting and managing vendors and outside contractors to augment internal capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and analytical/problem solving skills
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably with a top ecommerce retail brand, travel brand, entertainment brand or advertising agency
  • A track record of performance meeting targets and objectives
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, Conversionomics / DataStudio, Campaign Manager 360, Search Ads 360/Google Ads/Bing Advertising, Innovid, DoubleVerify Sprinklr, Facebook/Twitter/Snapchat, Kantar, ComScore, YouGov
  • Adobe Site Catalyst/Analytics products
  • Understanding of segmentation and targeting
  • Understanding of real-time personalization
  • Experience with business intelligence reporting tools and dashboards
