We are seeking a mid-career systems engineer to join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various IRAD- and contract-funded modeling and simulation (M&S) capabilities for a major product line. As a member of the M&S team the candidate will actively support simulation architectures that enable product development, supplier trades, algorithm prototyping, requirements trades, wargaming, and business capture.

He or she will perform the following key tasks:• Develop, test, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations such as sensor 6DoF simulations and synthetic scene generation• Integrate and optimize complex models for a real-time HWIL environment• Generate artifacts that support Verification and Validation (V&V) including the Simulation Requirements Specifications (SRS), V&V Plan, V&V Report, and lower level supporting documents

#MFC22Basic Qualifications:• Degree in computer science, physics, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, applied mathematics, or similar. (PhD, or MS + 3 years of experience, or BS + 6 years of experience)• Demonstrated proficiency in C software design• Good communication skills, able to effectively work in a team environment, and capable of solving complex problems.• Must be a U.S. Citizen and can obtain a DoD Interim Secret clearance and/or holds an active Secret clearance that has been investigated w/in the last 5 yearsDesired Skills:• Demonstrated skills in probability, statistics, and Design of Experiments (DOE)• Model-based systems engineering knowledge• Experience modeling and assessing performance of IMUs, gyros, accelerometers, and other rate/rotation sensing devices• Experience deploying algorithms that satisfy real-time performance requirements• Course work or professional experience in state estimation, guidance, navigation, control systems, or advanced mathematics.• Experience developing HWIL or PIL test environments• Proficiency in large-scale Monte Carlo analysis• Familiarity with guidance, inertial tracking, and image processing algorithmsSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
