What will you be doing? Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate pricing and terms of contracts. Develop and maintain a comprehensive supplier database, ensuring supplier performance is monitored and evaluated regularly. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine MRO material requirements and specifications based on operational needs. Prepare and issue purchase orders for MRO materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. Monitor inventory levels, track consumption patterns, and implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels. Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of MRO materials, resolving any issues or delays as they arise. Work closely with the maintenance team to understand their requirements, provide technical assistance, and source appropriate MRO products. Conduct regular cost analysis and identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs while maintaining product quality. Stay updated with industry trends, new MRO products, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives. Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and supplier information.What do you bring?
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
Proven experience in MRO procurement, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Solid knowledge of MRO materials, their applications, and technical specifications. Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in using procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in procurement processes.
