Detailed Job Description:

IT Systems Engineer is responsible for monitoring, installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of Red Hat OpenShift cluster
IT Systems Engineers provide technical support, troubleshoot problem and perform scripting/programming to ensure stable and efficient operation of OpenShift environment
Performs installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance and troubleshooting of OpenShift Cluster
Mid-level Experience with Kubernetes networking & troubleshooting (DNS, load balancers, service IPs, node ports, etc.)
Proactively monitors and reports performance and utilization of assigned technologies
Log management & monitoring using Splunk, fluentd, HEC, etc. in an OpenShift environment
Maintaining the health & optimal state for OpenShift clusters
Manages problem or escalated tickets and tasks and out of cycle requests from systems/software owners
Performing OpenShift cluster upgrades as needed
Assists with developing tactical strategies, processes and procedures related to systems/application administration
Applications support, sizing and troubleshooting on OpenShift Platform including Java, Node.js and Python
May provide input into infrastructure architecture designs
Writes programming/scripting
May participate in Disaster Recovery planning and exercises
Ensures execution and alignment to architectural standards and blueprints
Performs on-call activities as needed for the environment and technologies
