They will partner with peer engineering teams on best practices, process, standards, and configuration management. The Engineer evaluates vendor supplied hardware, components, and software packages for fit and performance and makes recommendations to IT management. This individual modifies and/or debugs vendor-supplied utilities and packages. The Engineer maintains technical documentation for telecommunications, network, server, storage, and system software applications. The Engineer diagnoses isolates and de-bugs hardware and software problems and performs problem resolution. The role is responsible for delivering solutions that are stable, secure, scalable, and cost effective, as well providing escalation support to the administrators.Specialized Skills and Technologies- Strong experience in:
- Cisco ISE/NAC - Support and Implementation
- Cisco Networking Routing and Switching
- SSL Inspection
- VPN Technologies
- Aruba and or Cisco Wireless experience
- Next Generation Firewalls - Palo Alto and/or Cisco Firepower
- Anti DDOS protection
- Signature based intrusion detection
- Security groups in the cloud
- Knowledge of OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP's basic components, VLAN's and Multi-layer switching
- Participate in on call rotation

- Research, evaluate and recommend network-related software and hardware products and services
- Perform capacity and resource planning for network systems
- Assess network risks and perform contingency planning
- Provide input to supplier management team to help establish the telecommunications and network-related vendor service agreements

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical communications and network issues (tier two support)

- Serve as a technical resource for infrastructure initiatives that require telecommunications or network expertise

- Demonstrable expertise with designing and implementing Network Access Control (NAC) solutions using Cisco's ISE and IEEE 802.1x
- Must be able to work with end users, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines
- Be an internal Subject Matter Expert on security technologies, particularly TrustSec with Cisco's ISE
- Be an internal Subject Matter Expert with IEEE 802.1x
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security technologies, with significant experience working with Cisco's ISE product and large-scale Palo Alto deployments
- 3+ years of experience in Infrastructure engineering role as it relates to the hardware and software components that align to technologies supported at Southern Glazers
- CCDP or CCNP equivalent
- Bachelor's or Technical degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of work experience in an Infrastructure or technical function
