Administers treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Performs other duties as assigned.The value you’ll bring to the team:Responsible for administering occupational therapy modalities/treatments as prescribed by a licensed physician and under the direction of the occupational therapist.QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:§ Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from accredited school.· Florida or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement upon hire· BLS Certification upon hire· 2 hours of Stroke education required within 6 months of hire date, then 1 hour annually· 1 hour of Hip and Knee Replacement education within 6 months of hire date, then annually.This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
