This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) positions and as such no paid time off is offered. Health benefits will be offered for full-time employment. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing customer service via answering (954)INSURESline and assisting consumers with the KidCare application process. Identifying and resolving KidCare technical issues as requested. Periodically distributing KidCare materials at places of business, community organizations, schools, childcare providers, and Civic leaders. Responsible for maintaining data logs of incoming calls, client’s services, applications submitted, events attended and updating information into a database. Attending community events and providing educational presentations to the community on the KidCare Program. Serve as the local source of customer service information for the community-based organizations and consumers in Broward County. Will answer incoming calls, retrieve messages, return calls, assist with online applications and resolving technical issues. Serve as the local client advocate for families, via phone or in person, for the identification of Florida KidCare issues. Refer such issues to the appropriate Florida KidCare Program Office and complete an Outreach Sheet as needed. Collaborate with Outreach Team to plan local marketing outreach activities and participate in public relations activities such as television and radio appearances, and community events as resources allow. Assist Coordinator in stocking and having readily available large quantities of all KidCare materials (applications, brochures, promotional items, and other information) needed by community partners in Broward County who are assisting with KidCare outreach. Mail or hand deliver these materials as requested. Visit Broward County Schools to view Emergency Contact Information. Participate in all communication activities (conference calls, workgroup meetings, trainings, and presentations) provided by the department and KidCare Outreach Coordinator. Assist Coordinator with local advisory committee, known as KidCare Partners Taskforce, which is responsible for planning and assessing KidCare outreach activities performed in Broward County. Performs other duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Willing to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours, or days in the event of an emergency.
Have a minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience .
Have a minimum of two (2) years of working in a call center.
Valid driver's license free of major infractions and access to an automobile to be utilized for work purposes and a willingness to drive to multiple sites as required by program needs.
Able to work evenings and weekends as determined by program needs.
Bilingual, English/Spanish/Creole.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology from an accredit university or college, or a related field.
Experience working with Federal Program Eligibility.
Experience conducting community outreach.
Experience working with social service programs.
