Painting Assistant for Installation Art - August 2025

Calling all paint-splattered creatives: We’re looking for a talented and reliable Painting Assistant to join our team in South Miami this August for a large-scale art installation and photography project. If you’ve got a steady hand, a good attitude, and a love for color, texture, and getting weird with brushes and rollers, we want you on our team!

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who’s confident with paint and detail work, but also willing to take direction and jump in wherever needed. You’ll be helping to prep, prime, paint, and bring creative visions to life across walls, props, and set pieces.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist with hand-painting walls, props, and costumes

- Help with taping, priming, sealing, and touch-ups

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace

- Follow instructions, while staying open to creative problem-solving

- Be flexible, collaborative, and game for the occasional curveball

REQUIREMENTS

- Previous painting experience (murals, scenic, fine art, or that one time you helped your friend paint their whole apartment in exchange for pizza counts!)

- Strong attention to detail and ability to take direction

- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

- Able to lift supplies and work on your feet for extended periods

- Smartphone and reliable transportation

BONUS POINTS FOR:

- Familiarity with acrylics, house paint, and sealers

- Experience with large-scale artwork or immersive art

- Ability to work clean and efficiently, even when paint is flying

- A good sense of humor and love for colorful chaos
