Description Robert Half is partnering with a Fortune 50 healthcare client to fill an on-site Patient Care Coordinator role. We seek a Patient Care Coordinator who will be a pivotal part of our healthcare team, focusing on providing exceptional service and care coordination at a local clinic. The Patient Care Coordinator manages high-volume phone calls and attends to patients, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process in the client's Electronic Medical Records system. This role is crucial in facilitating effective patient care coordination and support. Key Responsibilities:

Warmly greet patients upon arrival, managing wait times efficiently.

Perform check-in and check-out tasks, including patient demographic verification, insurance verification, and handling pre-authorizations and/or precertification of procedures.

Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, issuing receipts accordingly.

Manage the cashier box and daily deposits in line with company policies.

Process walk-in patients and visitors.

Ensure periodic disinfection and cleaning of the lobby area.

Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, redirect calls as necessary and assist callers with questions or concerns.

Manage medical records, maintain files/scans, and process medical records release requests.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-volume front desk setting, focusing on excellent customer service and computer knowledge, including EMR systems.

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Previous healthcare experience, particularly in a physician's office or similar setting.

Attributes such as being a team player, flexibility to change, and punctuality are highly valued.

Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changes.

Experience in providing care and support to elderly patients.
